Infection with dimorphic fungus Coccidioides species induces a condition designated as San Joaquin Valley Fever. Initially scripted in 1892 as an organism Coccidioides immitis, the dimorphic fungus configures distinctive yeast and mould stages [1]. Pre-eminently, the infection is self limiting although immunocompromised subjects may delineate severe disease.
