Mass and energy are essentially the same things they just change forms. Physics tells us that mass is a form of energy. Light is a particular wave length of energy. In the beginning God said “Let there be light”. Is light energy? Physicists cannot agree about exactly what light is. Some say it is a mass, some say energy, and some say mass and energy. Light acts like both, exhibiting the traits of a wave and a particle. There is a great debate in physics as to whether it is a particle or a wave. However, it does exert force that can be measured. It seems to have mass, but as energy and mass are related, this is not surprising. Light seems to have the properties of both mass and energy. It cannot be stored we know that for sure. If you stop it, it converts to heat energy so it is definitely energy, and you can measure the force of it when it moves. You may have heard of the solar winds which is a stream of charged particles released from the upper atmosphere of the Sun called the corona. This plasma mostly consists of electrons, protons, and alpha particles with kinetic energy between 0.5 and 10 keV. I believe what God said was let there be energy. The translation of the original meaning is clear if you understand physics.
